Why must one slog through a blogger's history of food just to get to the recipe?


Many blogs get revenue from affiliate sales links and ads which means it behooves them to have long pages with lengthy descriptions of their ingredients (and of course, where to buy them) and photos mixed with ads you might click and deliver the author some passive revenue. Sure, sometimes the descriptions and images can be interesting, but when you're hungry. you want to get cookin'!


Look for the words "Jump to Recipe" right below the recipe title and tap or click on them. Here are a few of my favorite cooking blogs: Smitten Kitchen, It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken, and A Couple Cooks.
