So many years ago, email was a connecting force on the internet. You could reach out to a business, and old friend, or sign up for newsletters and look forward to hearing from purveyors of our interest.
The clipboard with a lined sign up sheet would be at every restaurant, hotel, and booth at the craft fair. I used to work in marketing... little secret: we seeded the written list with fake email addresses.
Now, it's gotten to the point that if I buy something once from a website, suddenly they're emailing me new products/promotions every single day! I don't need to hear from Oprah every single day (or do I...?)
I've let important emails get buried, stockpiled NYTimes recipe newsletters, and even received a few scam emails...........How do you handle your email account(s)? Is emails still an important part of your communication landscape?
Means of communication is bound to change from time to time. From email to text, from Facebook to Instagram. How comfortable are you with the email channel?
